Icon There are many applications to update your Twitter status now and each implements essential features for a specific part of users. For me, Tweetdeck does its great job with columns and URL shorten feature while I rarely use Twitpic, search and others. Likewise, you may not need all the features of an application and especially in some cases you just need to tweet and back to your job right away. So Threeter might be the one you’re looking for.

Extremely tiny and consumes least system resource that you even don’t know whether it is running, Threeter allows you to update your Twitter status quickly in just three steps:

For me, Google Reader is my favorite feed reader especially when I install some addons to enhance it on my Firefox.

However, there are still people like desktop applications to read feed or they are in locations that a stable, fast internet connection is not always available. Hence, they prefer to download all feed contents onto their computer and read them later.

How To Change The Default Folder In Windows Explorer

How To Change The Default Folder In Windows Explorer By default, when you open Windows Explorer the Libraries category is initially what opens. If you want a different folder, such as the Documents folder, to open every time you open Windows Explorer, follow the steps in this post.

NOTE: This procedure applies per shortcut to Windows Explorer. If you use a shortcut to which you have not applied this change, it will act normally and open separate instances of Windows Explorer that will display separately on the Taskbar.

For this example, we will use two methods. We will create a new shortcut to Windows Explorer on the desktop that opens to the Documents folder rather than the Libraries. Using this method will preserve the original shortcut on the Taskbar. We will also change the Windows Explorer on the Taskbar, so you can see how to do it either way.

Automatically Close/Restore All Running Applications Using SmartClose

SmartClose Sometimes the installer asks you to close some applications or even in some cases it requires you to close all running applications before the installing process starts. You may usually encounter this case when installing a plugin, a service pack or an update.

As usual you can close each application by hand since it doesn’t take too much time and effort. In order to find another geeky and handier way, give SmartClose a shot.

You can download SmartClose for free and experience two features that I love most: close all running applications and restore them (open all previously closed applications, you have to create a snapshot first).
